  Disappointing stay, needs a deep clean and maintenance

  Welcome gifts of wine and biscuits was appreciated. Handy location near the river and old town. I can see the host had once tried to present the apartment as modern and light, but the lack of maintenance, care and cleaning by the third-party maintenance company has really let them down. It is a shame as I can see the vision behind it but sadly the standards fall way short of expectations.

  Unfortunately we left after one night as this apartment did not meet our expectations. The check-in was not a great start as the address on the listing is not correct, it is not number 5 but at the other end of the street with a completely different name building. The apartment is in a residential block which is not so nice, up stairs and the corridors smelt of cigarette smoke and cooking smells, we had to pass some men sitting on the steps which was a bit un-nerving. The apartment itself looks ok on first arrival and it was a nice touch of a bottle of wine and biscuits as welcome gifts, but it was not clean or well maintained. There were food crumbs in the fridge and food left in the freezer. We did not therefore use the kitchen or look further at the equipment or items provided. In the bedrooms, the bed linen was not ironed and all that was on each bed was a creased duvet sheet (no duvet inside) rather than a sheet. When I went to get a blanket from the cupboard to put on top this was also dirty and stained. When I went to plug in the working bedside light, I pulled out the bed to reach the plug socket behind it and found dust and dirt on the floor. My husband walked around the apartment barefoot and his feet were black. When I opened the laundry closet, the floor was also dirty in there, the dustpan still had dirt in it and the drawer of the washing machine was mouldy. There was a lot of pre-used toiletries in the bathroom, which I understand the host is trying to be helpful but it doesn’t give the impression of a clean place, using pre-used toiletries, even a razor (?). Rather it gives the impression you are in someone else’s flat. All that is required is a couple of toilet rolls, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, presented in a nicer way. We sent a message via the portal we had left early but did not receive a response.

  ¡Para repetir! ☺️

  El alojamiento es amplio, muy luminoso y está muy bien equipado, con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de una estancia cómoda. La ubicación es excelente, con restaurantes, tiendas y un supermercado muy cerca, además de playas espectaculares a pocos minutos. La anfitriona fue muy amable y atenta en todo momento, siempre dispuesta a ayudar. En general, una muy buena experiencia y un lugar que recomendaría.

  La ubicación fantástica, la comodidad del apartamento, muy bien equipado, aparcamiento fácil alrededor, el personal muy amable

  El portal no estaba en buenas condiciones, no tiene ascensor y olía mal todos los días. Echamos en falta un poco más de limpieza en el apartamento.

  Apartamento muito simpático com todos os itens essenciais para a estadia (loiça, gel duche, champô, etc). A localização é excelente, a uma caminhada muito curta dos barcos e muito próxima do supermercado (Pingo Doce), bem como de comércio tradicional, restauração, etc. A anfitriã é muito simpática e prestável e no apartamento existe um guia com informação muito útil a propósito do destino.

  O interior do prédio necessita de obras e pintura bem como de uma limpeza mais regular.
