    A welcoming alpine lodge with a great location, lovely staff and an amazing breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Great location, within easy walking distance of the town centre, shops, restaurants and lakefront. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. If you book breakfast included, it’s definitely worth it! They cooked us fresh eggs and bacon every morning. There were also often cupcakes in the dining room, and the tea and coffee facilities were great, including a proper Nespresso machine. The spa and sauna were also a great bonus after a day out exploring. I appreciated the option to have the room tidied and fresh towels provided simply by leaving the sign on the door. Overall, a really welcoming place to stay in Wānaka!

    There honestly wasn’t much we didn’t like. The decor is a little old-school, with a bit of a 90s feel, but it also adds to the traditional alpine lodge atmosphere. The only other thing was that I found the infrared sauna didn’t get particularly hot, but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
