Tebuah Lodge looks stunning in photos, and that's about where the positives end for a winter stay. Yes, the house is spacious and staff were friendly—Jonathan in particular was professional and went out of his way to help—but that doesn't make up for how poorly this property is set up for cold weather, despite being marketed for it. We booked specifically because the listing advertised an indoor fireplace and a jacuzzi. Neither delivered. The fireplace filled the main living area with smoke, making it unusable—not a cozy inconvenience, but a genuine problem when it's your only heat source for a communal space that size. We flagged this immediately and asked for a heater as a replacement; there wasn't one available for the living area, which left us without any real way to warm the main gathering space for the rest of the stay. The jacuzzi, the other advertised winter draw, wasn't even properly hot. On top of that, the dining table is outdoors only—no indoor alternative—which makes no sense for a property being rented out in winter. And for a lodge that claims to sleep up to 12 guests, the indoor seating simply can't accommodate a group that size. It's clear the property was designed with summer bookings in mind and hasn't been adapted at all for the season it's still being advertised and sold for. The setting is beautiful and the staff clearly try, but the property is not fit for purpose in winter. If you're booking for warmer months, this could be a great stay. If you're booking for winter, as we did based on the listed amenities, be aware that key features may not function as advertised. I would not recommend it for a winter trip.
