The bed was comfortable and the accommodation itself was clean inside. Unfortunately, those positives were outweighed by several significant problems during my stay.
The location is difficult to access. The road/drive leading to the property is poor enough that not every taxi driver will agree to take you all the way there. One possible alternative is arranging transport via the InterContinental, but this may mean approaching through the property’s back gate, which is not always open. I would strongly recommend clarifying access and transport arrangements before booking, particularly if you do not have your own vehicle. There were also problems with the facilities during my stay. The refrigerator had a very substantial build-up of ice and was not functioning properly. On another evening, the hot water stopped working altogether. People eventually came to deal with the hot-water problem, and I want to be fair in saying that the people who attended were very kind and helpful. On my final night, the internet was also not working properly, although it had worked during the preceding days. My greatest concern, however, was the communication with the host. When I reported the lack of hot water and asked whether there was any possibility of a partial refund for the inconvenience, what should have been a straightforward conversation became extremely argumentative. Although I specifically told the host that if they lived far away there was no need to make trouble for themselves, I was repeatedly accused of “demanding” immediate service. I was told that if I wanted “hotel-style comfort” I should go to a hotel and pay 70,000 francs per night. Later, I was told to “stop trying to pay peanuts” and accused of “trying to pay next to nothing while demanding service at any hour.” I had paid the price at which the property was advertised, so I found comments belittling a guest for supposedly “paying peanuts” particularly inappropriate. I repeatedly tried to end the discussion politely, including thanking the host and saying good evening. I eventually explained that I was upset by the conversation and simply wanted to rest.

Très bon séjour
L’emplacement très bien. Le confort du lit et la propreté du logement. L’accueil très bien.
La route pour accéder en cas de pluie mais ça se fait bien quand même.
