  Disappointing stay – definitely not the luxury experience we expected We booked this hotel mainly because of the spa facilities and the promise of lovely, upmarket rooms. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Firstly, there was an issue with payment. We had already paid through Booking.com, but apparently the hotel had cancelled the payment, meaning we had to wait for a refund before we could pay the hotel directly. I'm not sure who was responsible, but it caused unnecessary stress. Thankfully, the hotel were kind enough to let us check in while we waited for the refund. The room itself was disappointing and looking rather tired and shabby. There was rust around the bathroom mirror and sink, and the bath tiles could definitely have done with a proper clean. Even worse, on our first night there was an absolutely awful smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. It was so bad that we had to put plugs in the plugholes and keep the toilet lid down to try to contain the smell. Not exactly what you expect from a hotel advertising itself as upmarket! The spa was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, but sadly that was another huge disappointment. There was a horrible smell of drains throughout, particularly in the steam room, which was so unpleasant that we lasted literally two minutes before leaving. We mentioned these issues when checking out, but the response was rather underwhelming. We were simply given an email address to complain to, and nobody seemed particularly concerned about our experience. It's such a shame because we were really looking forward to a relaxing, luxurious stay. Instead, we were left feeling disappointed, stressed and wondering what exactly we'd paid the extra money for. For a hotel charging upmarket prices, the cleanliness, maintenance and spa facilities really need some serious attention. Sadly, we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

  Ok, aber wir kommen nicht wieder.

  Die Lage der Unterkunft war nett zwischen der Innenstadt/Hafen und dem Strand Cala Agulla, viele Shops und Restaurants aber auch schon in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und die Betten bequem. Die Couch war auch als Schlafcouch zu benutzen. Die Anlage war sauber und gepflegt. Der Pool nett mit vielen Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Handtücher gab es auch kostenfrei.

  In unmittelbarer Umgebung sind Animations-/Partyhotels, anders als dieses Familienhotel. An 3 von 5 Abenden gab es bis 23 Uhr wirklich laute Musik. Am 3. Abend sogar Karaoke, was einfach schrecklich war. Die Lautstärke war so hoch, dass ich nicht auf dem Balkon sitzen konnte, weil ich nicht hätte hören können, wenn meine 1,5 jährige Tochter wach wird. Das Personal hat mehrfach gesagt, dass sie nichts machen können. Beim Essen hatte man das Gefühl, dass zum Ende der Saison alle Reste verbraucht werden und es jeden Abend Abwandelungen von gleichen Dingen gab. Auch wurde zum Beispiel Gemüse serviert, was älter war, z.B. Gurken oder Tomaten. Das Dessert schmeckte auch immer gleich. Für eine Waffel musste man oft sehr lange warten. Ingesamt war das warme Essen häufig nur lauwarm, eher Richtung kühl. Aufgefüllt wurde manchmal nicht mehr, obwohl noch viele Leute da waren bzw. Zeit war. Die Personen am Grill konnten kein bis sehr schlechtes Englisch und kein Deutsch. Wenn man Fragen zu den Soßen hatte, bekam man keine Erklärung. Das Gegrillte war oft übergrillt und nicht gewürzt. Aufgrund des Essens und der Lautstärke zu diesem Preis würden wir nicht wiederkommen.
