Informed us the day we arrived that the rooftop bar was closed for a private event. A $700 Friday night stay, and their premiere facility was off limits. Would have been good information to have before booking. Disappointing stay.

Litchfield and the surrounding area is very picturesque and the hotel has converted the local courthouse. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff is superb and location is ideal. Our only issue was we were paying New York hotel prices to view the car park of the local district Post Office. There is a reason that ear plugs are left in the room rather than a coffee maker or TV.

Staff is excellent as is the decor and service both at the hotel, restaurant and rooftop. Not well known but the air conditioning in the room can be very loud and there are no TV’s in the room. The street is very walkable and there are several excellent restaurants within a quick walk or 10 min drive. The breakfast at the hotel was lovely- as was the restaurant. Great long weekend stay!

Would be great to have a coffee maker in room, or some room service options.
