  Beautiful views, but I’ve never felt so disrespected at a hotel. I’d look elsewhere in Cascais.

  Beautiful views, a lovely location in Cascais and good meals.

  The manager’s treatment of me overshadowed the stay. I regularly stay at five star hotels and resorts, and the service I experienced at Albatroz did not come close to that standard. I was a registered, paying guest, simply leaving my room with a friend. We were dressed up, yet his manner made me feel judged and treated as though there was something improper about our presence. I gave him my room number, but he later insisted I had told him a different number. He may simply have misheard me. Any confusion could have been resolved with a polite check of my details. Instead, his approach left me feeling accused, humiliated and unwelcome. A possible misunderstanding does not excuse treating a guest this way. I cannot speak to his intentions, but his treatment made me feel as though he had mistaken us for escorts rather than guests going out. I have never felt so demeaned at a hotel or anywhere else. Two women dressing up should not have to justify themselves to receive respectful treatment. Later, when I was taking my parents to see my room, someone called out to them, “That’s not the way to 222.” I was simply showing them my room. The tone felt intrusive and disrespectful, reinforcing the feeling that we were being scrutinized rather than welcomed. For a hotel presenting itself as five star, this was unacceptable. Basic courtesy and respect should be the bare minimum. I won’t be staying here again and would recommend looking elsewhere in Cascais.

  Incredible view of CasCais bay

  It’s all about the view! Magnificent view - make sure you get a sea view room. Service and food in the restaurant are great shout out to Miguel and Paulino for the great service

  Facilities are dated and need an update as does the restaurant it’s dark but food as amazing.

  Large rooms, peaceful setting in the evenings.

  Nice location in the heart of the old city, refreshingly quiet at night. Excellent restaurant right across the street and incredible, freshly-prepared breakfasts.

  Our room had a beautiful tub with handheld shower, but would’ve preferred a walk-in shower.

  Excellence By The Sea

  perfect location perfect size, enabling a country-house-by -the -sea ambience warm welcome feeling from every member of the team, all of whom seemed to enjoy their job

  Det var vores andet ophold på The Albatroz Hotel og det levede fuldt op til vores forventninger. Beliggenheden, hotellet, betjeningen (speciel Nuno :-)) og maden var helt i top. Personalet var altid opmærksomme, om det var morgenmaden, frokosten, aftensmaden eller vi blot var forbi til en drink. Vi ville gerne have takket specielt Nuno, men han var der desværre ikke den dag vi rejste.

  En meget lille ting, som dog på ingen måder ødelage vores ophold. I slutningen af vores ophold, lagde flere gæster håndklæder på stolene inden pool området var gjort klar om morgenen. Der skal måske holdes øje med, at gæsterne ikke lægger håndklæder på stolene og der går flere timer inden de vender tilbage.
