Unfortunately, things are not up to par yet for international tourism
Property has very well kept rooms, in artistic style. The owners tried to meet and talk to you and answer all questions.
1. When the owners aren't there, you get the impression that nobody cares, and the working staff don't take you very seriously. 2. I was messaged by the hotel that I would get an invoice at checkout, but I did not. Instead the receptionist told me that they aren't responsible. However, booking.com seems also to not be responsible. So no invoices for me, and my accounting is delayed as a result. They seem to be doing "creative" customer service at the minimum to avoid customers from not making problems. 3. The scooter rental is a disaster, the guys are very unprofessional and demanded immidate responses. they charged me an extra half day. For someone who travels regularly in many parts of the world in similar places, this wasn't customer service experience. The locals and area, the places, aren't international friendly and up to par. Overall, i tried very hard not to write a poor review, but for guests that come from international locations -- You have to be mentally prepared -- dont expect to get what you pay for and don't expect international norms here. This place is unique, and if you can turn a blind eye to many things, have extreme patience, looking for adventure, you;ll manage. But if you are looking for a relaxing vacation, I'm not sure this is the hotel for you, or even this town, and i'd avoid it entirely.
