    Elegance and comfort in the heart of Kolkata

    There is an elegance about the Astor which makes it exceptionally comfortable and a great place to stay. The staff are particularly kind and attentive, and the room that I stayed in was of high quality.

    There was a little bit of maintenance and upgrade happening in one part of the building, but there had no impact on my stay other than one of the three restaurants was closed.

    Old charm with old challenges

    I liked the old charm.

    Rooms are clastorphobic for someone like me who is used to day light, the room had just a small pane window and no daylight was coming into the room..... not for people like me
