    Short but relaxing because the property and management were so communicable!

    I loved the artwork on the front, the charm inside and the soft warm beds! I don’t like driving or parking in Chicago, but I’m from a small town!! There was free parking a little down the street, but it was the same street. So that was fabulous for here. Only bad part is I wish our stay was longer and enjoyed the house. I think I’d say the ‘birdcage’ chair was my favorite. I was up before everyone else and got to enjoy my coffee in it. So nice!!!

    Nothing….except we only slept here.

    The Avondale Guest House was a very convenient place to stay for a couple of nights when we specifically wanted to be in this part of Chicago to visit family. The price was comparable to a single hotel room for our dates, with much more room, full kitchen, and free parking on the street. We would definitely consider it again for future trips.

    The queen beds were on the soft side. The full bed seemed firmer, but the window AC was directly over the headboard so we opted for the central queen room without an AC directly in the room. (Surprisingly, the window units were keeping the apartment sufficiently cool even on 100 degree days!)
