    A birthday weekend.

    Hall floor tiles were lovely.

    There are no bedside tables, nor bedside lights in any of the bedrooms. We had to buy some lights. The clothes hanging facilities in the two larger rooms consists of coat hangers on a tree branch hanging from the ceiling by straps. The small vedroom had no hanging. The en-suite bedroom had a large bed & frame which left little space to get round the bottom, between the radiator & the hanging branch. There was a distinct risk of getting my head banged, especially in the dark. There was no way of having a shower in it, without soaking the floor. The screen is far too small. It also ran out of hot water more than once. Luckily 1 of our party knew how to get the boiler to fire up again. We found the toaster after searching the cupboards, it sparked a few times, then fused everything in the kitchen. We found the fuse box in the outer stairway & got power again. I contacted Vera more than once, but go no reply. There was no sign of anything being pat tested, which should happen annually. The cleaner brought a replacement toaster on the afternoon of the 2nd day of a 4 night stay. There was no dish towel nor dish cloth. The balcony is not very attractive as the seats are very weather beaten & less than inviting.
