We stayed two nights at The Bull and would definitely stay again. It is comfortable, friendly , warm and the fascilities
Location was fantastic for exploring Olney which is a lovely little town with some great independent shops. The property is right opposite the main square. Despite being a very old building , the bar, restaurant and the rooms all felt fresh and well maintained. The restaurant provided great quality food at a reasonable price with a wide range of cocktails, drinks and wines with alcohol free options . There as also a good selection of beers. The bar area itself had a variety of seating options and on Saturday night had live music until 11pm which everyone enjoyed as there was a lively sing a long going towards the end. Staff were very pleasant and helpful . Our room was on the top floor so had to climb a couple of flights of stairs but was ok . Overall , really liked The Bull and would definitely stay there again and warmly recommend to friends and family.
One unusual feature was that in our room ( room 11) the shower cubicle was close to and right opposite the bed which was ok apart from trying not to watch too closely my husband having a shower whilst I enjoyed a peaceful cup of tea. There were some steep stairs to our room which we didn’t mind at all. , but if you have issues with mobility , perhaps request a room on the floor below. Minor details really and all in keeping with the age of the building .

Read the small print
Nice looking room, comfortable bed. Shower was in the bedroom though with no door or barrier between. Very friendly staff. Nice tea and coffee provided. Easy check in
Very very loud music until 23:30. We could hear every single word of all the songs. The floor was vibrating. The advice when booking is “Our rooms are above a lively pub. We occasionally host live music, with an 11pm curfew, so you may hear a bit of the atmosphere before then.” which is a VAST understatement. Small portions for dinner is the only other thing.
