Love the vintage vibe and many details, but they need work on some basic things.
Excellent location, the staff was great and the bed very comfortable. I loved the vintage vibe.
We were awoken to a leaking bathroom light fixture due to the room aboves shower, so we had to change rooms two days later. The clothes hangar rod wasn't long enough and our second room didn't have a refrigerator. The first room only had one chair. The bathroom sink in the King rooms is so big, it leaves no room to put toiletries. Also the Hot Tub wasn't broken our second and third nights. We did not get consistant room cleaning, had to ask to have our garbage emptied.

Cool Vibe - needs tweaking.
I loved the vintage vibe of the Buxton and the Pool/Hot tub drew me as well. Great location, close to so many great places.
For our five night stay: First reaction was cool room, very large space, but only one chair and no table. Too much emphases on the "Red Mask" stuff, it takes up a lot of room. Our second night, we had water pouring from the bathroom ceiling because the room above was showering, this awakened us, we laid towels to soak it up and went back to bed. On our third night we were told we have to move rooms due to maintenance. The new room had no fridge so my son moved the one we had, because it had a lot of beverages in it. The clothes hanger rod did not accommodate any of our clothing needs, way too short. Our first room had one chair only, the second one had a ottoman, very odd to have inconsistent amenities in each room, Oh and we all walked across to do the hot tub to find the heater wasn.t working. Tonight I showered and realized there was no hair dryer. One thing after another and I really wanted to love this hotel - we had three rooms in our group.

Very comfortable & convenient
The decor was beautiful. View from our window was amazing, staff was friendly & very helpful.
Breakfast was not included with the room.
