    The benchmark I always use is, would I stay at the hotel again and the answer is definitely.

    It was a well maintained hotel; very comfortable and well appointed . The staff without exception, all had genuine smiles on their faces and were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

    Comfortable and private stay.

    The property was in an excellent location by the harbour and it was very private with lovely staff.

    There were some charges disputed by me for parking which I hadn’t been informed of , which could have been resolved in advance when it was brought to my attention on the 1st night however the manager sorted the issue out on check out.

    A lovely romantic treat.

    The staff were great. I didn’t park the car there as £85 for daily valet parking is a bit extreme. A secondary choice of self park would have been good. As it turns out I parked around the corner for one tenth of the price. But the spa and pool were lovely. And the room was really nice. I thought we would have a balcony over looking the river - but sadly we did not. We were having a romantic night away, and it was perfect for that. Nice bath tub - and both my love and I are both over six foot. And the room is big. Big bathroom. Big bedroom. Living room as well. Loads of romantic opportunities if you know what I am getting at??? OK - the costs are high (especially with food), and I get that they are maximising profits with their traditional clientele. However, there are lots of take aways nearby. But I can’t stress enough how much of a hidden gem this is. My gf and I spend a lot of time travelling together. We love little cosy pub B&Bs, but although it is pricey, for a London getaway, and for the quality of the room, it is quite a bargain. It truly is. Sure it might be out of some price ranges (certainly mine), but if you are going to treat yourself, this is a lovely place to go. And once again, the staff were amazing. Truly amazing. They really know how to make you feel really special.

    Parking. Come on. Sort it out.
