    Just not worth the money and nothing special

    Unfortunately, this property did not live up to expectations, particularly given the price point of around £1,000 per night. Although the house sleeps up to 25 people, the facilities simply did not feel adequate for a group of that size. The fridge was very small and the freezer did not appear to be working properly. We also found that glasses and crockery needed to be rewashed before use. The dishwasher itself did not seem to clean effectively, which may explain this. More generally, the house lacked the quality, cleanliness and attention to detail we would expect from a property charging this amount. There were cobwebs in many areas, several rooms had a noticeable musty smell, and the showers had some mould. We were also surprised that there did not appear to be mattress protectors on the beds. The finishes felt quite basic and in places poor, with things such as very ordinary office-style door handles, disappointing bed linen and generally little sense of luxury. The outside space was also disappointing, particularly as there was no garden furniture, which meant there was very little opportunity for a large group to sit outside and enjoy the garden. The location is very urban and, for us, lacked any real sense of setting or outlook. We were also uncomfortable with the presence of cameras around the property, which affected how relaxed we felt during the stay. Overall, nothing about the house felt particularly special or luxurious. For a less expensive property some of these issues might have been easier to overlook, but at this price we expected a substantially higher standard of cleanliness, facilities and finish throughout. We would not choose to stay here again.
