A good location, walking distance to town. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and blankets (no electric blanket as per ad, but didn't need them). Roomy and comfortable couch. It was lovely to see eggs, butter, milk and wine in the fridge. A lovely welcome.
We arrived on a wet afternoon. The wood for the fireplace was outside, so it was cold and wet. It took the four provided firelighters to start a small fire. No kindling but a tiny amount of newspaper were provided. It appears the flue isn't working because it made no difference to how the fire went... There's still mould on the bathroom curtains. This was mentioned many months ago in a previous review. There's also no latch on the bathroom door and the kitchen sink plug fits better in the bathtub. We had to message the host to ask where the iron and board were. They're in a shed off the carport. So was the microwave. This situation made cooking interesting. We wondered why it wasn't in the kitchen along with the ironing facilities. There's plenty of room... We thought it would be helpful to have known that there was not only more timber, but kindling as well in a lean to behind the shed. We spent the morning of our first days stay looking for paper and cardboard to use as kindling, and buying more fire starters... We know how to start fires as we lived in Scotland. Oh, there are also no tongs for the fireplace. Not ideal. The kitchen facilities were interesting. There's a "hot plate" doubling as a "BBQ" which has a short cord. It's electric... Fortunately we bought our own BBQ. Cooking was difficult as, in order to plug the hotplate in, we had to move furniture around - the little trolley with the toaster and kettle was too low to use - unless you're 120 cm tall. Another thing would be useful is a kitchen sponge. There were several cracked windows and the doors had large gaps at the bottom. Some draft excluders would be helpful. Other than the fireplace, there's no other heating, so bring warm clothes. It sounds like we had a miserable time, but we did enjoy ourselves. We just feel that some common sense and maintenance would make this place worth what you're paying.

Spacious main room and bathroom. Location in a picturesque town.
As other gueats mentioned the kitchen facilities and utensils need attention. The description given can be misleading. There was no bbq and the stovetop is a plug in one ring. The micowave is in the shed with the washing machine; no tumle dryer. Very noisy if you want the windows open facing the main highway. All things previous reviews have commented on.
