    Beautiful stay with friends

The cottage exuded old world charm with modern comforts. It was spacious and tastefully decorated. The hot tub & master bedroom was great and had beautiful views. The gardens were lovely. Underfloor heating was much appreciated. I loved the kitchen too.

The beautiful view of the valley in the pictures can only be seen from the master bedroom. I booked the cottage thinking its the view from the living room but its not. Felt a little misled there. The half bathroom is only fit for tiny people with short legs ;) So the men in our group were complaining. The 2nd bedroom pales in comparison to the master bedroom & is small, yet adequate for 2 adults. Wished we got a list of what’s nearby & where to eat etc. These are only minor points and didn’t deter us from enjoying our stay.

A lovely secluded rural break! Fantastic location!

The remote location was fab! Use of fans in both bedrooms as we came during a heatwave Plenty of kitchenware available if needed It had a hot tub. Lovely kitchen area Lovely large garden area to roam in Beautiful picture window in the bedroom Bath in the bedroom Outside table and chairs to sit out on Towels and glasses provided for the hot tub Very responsive when we reported a wasps nest on site

When you first walk in, the property looks beautiful! There were just two things that niggled slightly. 1) The property was clean at surface level but it did have lots of cobwebs and spiders throughout (including cobwebs on the main bedroom’s headboard and in the bedroom drawers). We did expect this with it being rural but as our 8 year old daughter is scared of spiders, we did spend quite a bit of time just after checking in getting rid of lots of spiders (and we do believe our check in was back to back with people who had checked out as we’d had a look beforehand). It is clean and comfortable but with a few minor touches (and a good deep clean) it could be exceptional. 2) On the photos online, both the hot tub and the picture window had beautiful views over the field but there was a lot of overgrown weeds in that area and that meant it detracted from the picture window view and we couldn’t at all see the field view from the hot tub which was again not too much of a problem but would have made the stay even better.
