Great hotel/pool, but overpriced with frustrating check-in and minibar issues
Nice pool area. After asking several times during our multi-hour check-in wait, we were at least given a $50 food voucher to use on property. Front desk successfully removed the erroneous minibar charges after I contested the
For a hotel like The Cosmopolitan, waiting several hours to check in is completely unacceptable. This wasn't an isolated incident—so many people had to wait even longer than we did (more than 4h). Be careful not to touch anything near the minibar. Simply placing my medicine inside the fridge triggered the weight sensors and resulted in automatic charges (which thankfully were refunded after I checked the bill). Overall, it is expensive for what it really is. Especially the pool (avoid chairs and sun beds with “reserved” signs and look for empty sun chairs if you want to avoid crazy fees).
