Comfortable home from home, with extras

The flat consisted of a lounge, kitchen and bathroom (with a bath and a separate shower) on the first floor and a large bedroom in a loft conversion. Small automatic lighting was installed for the stairs up to the bedroom when all main lights were off Everything you would need - tea/coffee/juice.milk/sugar, a breakfast cereal (corn flakes) was included. The kitchen included a cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher and even a washing machine. The main bed was a king size with a comfortable mattress and had an electric blanket for each side and other beds/mattresses could be available, if required.

The stairs from the front door up to the flat are somewhat steep and could be a problem for anybody with serious mobility problems. Bedroom was up in the attic and the bathroom was down a relatively steep flight of stairs.

The standard of the flat. Very comfortable and well equipped. The host was very accommodating, friendly and welcoming.

The location isn't the best. Parking is difficult and it's not in the nicest part of Galashiels. Fine for an overnight stay / for a couple of days though.
