Disappointing
Location.
Very disappointing stay. Having read all the fantastic reviews, I arrived with high expectations, so unfortunately, my experience was a real letdown. I booked the most basic option, the Garden Room, so I wasn’t expecting luxury. However, the room was incredibly small — you could barely swing a cat in it! Even so, at £148, I would still expect a reasonable standard of accommodation. The room wasn’t necessarily dirty, but it felt neglected and poorly maintained, as though it hadn’t been properly looked after in some time. To make matters worse, there was mould in the bathroom, which is not only unpleasant but also raises serious hygiene and potential health concerns. This is simply not what I would expect from accommodation at this price. Please see the attached photos and judge for yourselves. The location of the room was another issue. It was situated next to the small lounge and bar, meaning I could hear every drink being prepared and people talking. At times, it genuinely felt as though they were in my room, making it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. Overall, a very disappointing experience, especially given the glowing reviews and the £148 price tag. I understand that I booked the most basic room, but that should never mean compromising on cleanliness, maintenance or basic standards of accommodation. I expected better and left feeling thoroughly let down.

Would happily return to this comfortable hotel with excellent service and friendly staff
Staff were friendly and efficient. Service was excellent. Food was very tasty, breakfast lovely. Location perfect.
There were a couple of places that need a touch up, paintwork in the room but generally very happy.
