    Great location but a little unloved

    The location of the property is great and the area is very quiet. The host responded to our request for a very last minute booking very quickly. Nice soft white towels in the bathroom. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms

    The property is a little unloved. Small things like light bulbs that flickered or didn't work to more annoying things like not being able to properly regulate the water temperature in the shower. The TV didn't work as there was no signal. We could not access the WIFI as the password was on the router which was behind the TV. My husband is immobile and I am not very agile so we couldn't reach the router and therefore had no WIFI all weekend. There were no dustbins in the kitchen or any tea towels. The washing up sponges were grubby. There was visible dirt between the appliances. The floorboards were loose on the upstairs landing so physically dipped when you walked on them. The beds were old and creaky. The linen was not ironed and whilst I am sure that it was clean, it made the place feel grubby. There were no bedside lamps in the bedrooms which was frustrating. The house was ok and a few small changes to correct these things would go a long way to changing this review. A welcome pack with instructions on how to use the appliances, tame the hot water in the shower and access the WIFI and TV would make all the difference.

    Would have preferred to stay at the property we booked

    It was clean and comfortable.

    We did not stay at this property so my ratings are for where we did stay. It was nice enough but not where we expected to be staying.
