It was fantastic. A great place to use as a base to hit all the high spots in the Forest of Dean
Phil and the team were most welcoming, accommodating and very professional. All the food was great - we can see why they have many 'Pie' awards
The only (very small) criticism was there was nowhere to sit and have a quiet drink apart from the tables in the restaurant

Beautiful surrounds
The location was beautiful quite and green back to nature
The light and the night pitch black and no lights or very limited the steps in the pub is not good for someone with disabilities

There were ants in the bedroom , when we commented on this in the morning it was met with a shrug

Excellent staff, Irish landlord serving breakfast was a great start to our holiday in Ireland. Breakfast was delicious, hot and plenty of it. Atmosphere in the pub was so nice even for breakfast but I would imagine in an evening would be great fun.
A bit close to others in chalet style building but didn't bother us as only here for 1 night
