A stylish hotel with nice staff & plenty of space but but too far from the centre if you’re on foot.
The hotel staff were attentive and welcoming in all areas of the hotel - from reception to cleaning staff. The public areas (lobby, bar, restaurant) were well styled and were spacious, and guests had a variety of spaces to sit and relax. Everywhere in the main areas of the hotel felt clean and tidy. The room itself was tidy and spacious with lots of lighting and cupboard space.
The corridors were poorly lit, almost gloomy and the room servicing period was not clearly stated - I returned from my day out at 4:20 p.m (having left at around 9:00 a.m) to find my room had not been serviced and the cleaning staff were still making their way through the corridor - I had to ask for it to be done promptly as I was soaked from the rain and wanted to return to relax in the room. This was done immediately and I was grateful. There was also a half eaten tray of cake and empty bottle of champagne that was in the corridor for a day and a half. The air conditioning was a problem - the wall panel was on the incorrect time, the temperature setting was not easy to set (no instructions) and to my disappointment the air conditioning could not be switched off - it was on 24/7 and made the room at night chilly with a constant humming sound which was very irritating and disturbed my sleep. The extractor fan in the bathroom was also on 24/7 and I was told by reception staff it couldn’t be switched off as there were no windows in the room (why doesn’t it switch off with the lights, like domestic extractors do?). I mentioned both issues at the front desk and maintainance were asked to look - there was no evidence or message that this has been done. The bathroom had no heated towel rails hence no option to keep towels dry between use, you had to ration them.

Overall a nice, clean, secure and modern hotel with mostly attentive staff.
We were greeted at the reception by the receptionist who was helpful and provided us with all of the important information that we needed regarding the hotel and the surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of cooked and continental options. The well-being area was sufficiently equipped and our room was spacious clean and tidy.
Unfortunately, we were supplied with the wrong frying pan in our room that wasn't compatible with the hob, we established this after half an hour of keep trying and when we contacted reception they informed us that maintainace had stopped working and implied that we should wait till the morning, after some negotiation a member of staff came and offered us a different frying pan. Despite the waiters and waitresses being attentive at breakfast, we did order an omelette which was forgotten about. There was a member of staff in the well-being area who was replacing towels and when we asked for more cups to drink some water could have taken his earpods out and been a bit more enthusiastic.
