This is a beautiful house built in the tropical modernism style popularised by Geoffrey Bawa. The garden is a haven for monkeys and birds and hold a wide array of trees and plants. The owners were so charming....especially Oshadi. The caretaker/ cook was also so nice and helpful. They have two adorable cats and a visiting cat. We were thrilled as we love cats 🐈 😻
The bathroom was not super clean initially when we checked in. For example there was mould on the seat of the toilet. This was however promptly addressed by the owner and it was cleaned to a good standard.

Unsere ersten drei Tage in Colombo haben wir auf der Villa verbracht und wurden von der Herzlichkeit so schön in Sri Lan
Oshadi und ihr Mann und Haushälter haben uns eine sehr herzliche Ankunft in Colombo gemacht. Die Villa liegt zwar etwas abseits, aber wir wollten bewusst am ersten Stopp nicht im Trubel von Colombo bleiben. Die Villa ist mit viel Liebe fürs Detail ausgestattet und wir wurden auch spät abends nach anstrengender Anreise noch mit Snacks versorgt.

Prachtige locatie met super vriendelijke mensen. Het huis is in koloniale stijl en gebouwd door een architect die zich heeft laten inspireren door de wereldbekende sri lankaanse architect George Bawa. Het is prachtig. De tuin en het zwembad geven je een echt eiland gevoel. De inrichting is combinatie van Europees en koloniaal, prachtig. Heerlijk ontbijt en heel warm ontvangen. Wij raden deze locatie aan! Op de route van Colombo naar Ahangama, perfecte eerste tussenstop!
