    Fabulous location, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped cottage

    The location is fabulous 🤩 Alisdair and his family had considered carefully what might be needed for a self catering holiday - it is really well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the house lovely and warm on the rainy, blowy days we experienced. Other days were beautiful. Alisdair was so helpful during our stay and responded quickly to any queries.

    Not a dislike per se! The electric shower lacks power as they do. Use the one over the bath instead.

    Had a superb time at this wonderful cottage! The views were stunning, the accommodation was super comfortable and incredibly quiet, and Alasdair is the perfect host. The only issue was that we didn't want to leave! Hope to return again soon!

    Stayed here for a week; Perfect location to explore both Harris and Lewis. Amazing view from the house; Telescope in the livingroom to spot wildlife. Nice host who brought homemade cake and langoustines

    The views are out of this world - too beautiful to describe effectively. We were lucky enough to watch a pod of dolphins playing in the loch one evening with the cottage’s telescope enabling close up vision. It’s definitely a home-from-home cottage with a lovely homely feel and everything you could want provided (e.g. pots, pans, blankets etc). We loved the welcome scones left for us (delicious) and the owners are available if you need them. The location is perfect for exploring Lewis and also Harris as it is very central. I was able to go on cycle rides and for runs easily from the property. There is a lovely community woodland close by with walks and an adventure playground too.

    Although it has a garden at the back, it cannot be used. Also, there is nowhere really to sit outside enjoy and drink in the view, which is such a shame as it is out of this world. I did spend ages at the windows looking out though!
