    A wonderfully unique 2 night stay

    This was a unique gem of a place. We loved the naming of the rooms after vineyards that made port. We loved the decor. We loved the proximity to the pub which made superb food and had a bustling yet cosy ambience that is sadly missing in so many venues nowadays. We loved how friendly and helpful the staff were. We loved the complimentary miniature ports, yorkshire crisps and homemade biscuits. This was just right for us and we would happily return. We stayed in the Senhora da Ribeira room and a lack of tv was an asset for us. It was quiet and the bath room with separate bath and shower was lovely. Top marks overall from us.

    We were a little confused by the mention of a farmhouse shop and never managed to find what this referred to. The plug in the bath allowed water to escape. These were minor though in our overall happiness with this place.
