    Superb location, centre of Stamford. Lots of parking for guests, lovely rooms with real fires to enjoy coffee and have a read.

    Room 3, due to the old very large window, even with luxury heavy curtains, it wasn't the warmest of rooms.

    Cosy hotel that could do with a refresh

    Cosy charming hotel Super friendly and competent staff The restaurant is very good.

    The hotel is quite dated in general. However everything works. The carpet in the common area is quite worn out with many stains but properly hoovered

    Enjoyable, with excellent food.

    History, and feel.

    The room was too warm and couldn’t get the air con to work. Which made sleeping an issue.

    Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

    Food, room, bathroom & staff all excellent.

    The bathroom and towels were warm, toiletries good too. Unfortunately the shower turned into an ordeaal as the water temperature changed from very hot to really cold several times.
