    Very comfortable & friendly place to stay

    Very comfortable & spacious room with imaginative use of space (presumably listed status of building) to create en-suite facilities

    I can imagine that not being able to open windows for some ventilation might be an issue in some weather conditions. However I suspect that major alterations to windows are also restricted by listed status.

    At least the food was great

    Well at least the food was really good as were the staff in the restaurant in the evening
