    We had a lovely evening - delicious dinner and breakfast - we will return

    The staff were extremely welcoming, rooms, bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated. We received a lovely little gift for our anniversary

    Good for a short stay.

    The location

    There were some details that could be better. Toilet roll holder behind toilet. No chair in the room. Kettle did not fit under the tap. A lot of stairs to get to the room.

    Generally excellent but just a pity about a few issues.

    The Chateaubriand was superb at dinner

    Breakfast was poor if you don't want a full English. The croissants were cold, stale and soggy and the granola was served with yogurt making it very heavy. You have to pay extra for a cappuccino and one morning after waiting half an hour for crushed avocado I had to ask a member of staff what had happened to my order. I was offered a complimentary cup of coffee. Why not have a self service buffet style breakfast like many hotels. I had one night in my first room only to find out that there was no seal at the bottom of the glass shower door that hung above the edge of the bath. ( I nearly flooded the bathroom). The staff were superb and upgraded me to a better room. In fact the staff throughout were attentive, courteous and professional. They dealt with the above issues very well.
