    A quaint homely stay.

This is a beautiful characterful home in a gorgeous quaint village. The lounge was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was very helpful being able to park directly outside the property. The village is lovely with 2 nice pubs and good walks.

The bathroom was tricky. Designed as a wet room, it was hard to find somewhere to put your clothes so they didn't get wet! The Aga is beautiful but does make the whole house quite hot. The church bells ring every hour, including overnight, but we did get used to this after the first night.

    Not great

    The location was great.

The outside light was broken so steps difficult in the dark. Bathroom was extremely grubby...desperately needs work and decorating. The door didnt close properly and the hook it did have was only held on with one screw. No freezer...at all not even in the top of the fridge...couldnt stay more than a couple of days without one! No dishwasher either which I knew about but why have a full size wine cooler! The house was stifling hot due to the aga being on ...this needs addressing if the summers are going to be this hot!! I stripped the beds before leaving and some of the mattress covers were dirty ...why are they not washed after every check out!! The house generally needs a thorough clean and all windows need painting and repairing. The patio set at the back is very rusty as well. We stayed because we only used the house to sleep on basically ...but wouldn't have stayed if we'd been on holiday.

comfortable beds. The traditional decor. Nice location. Nice dinning area. Decent WIFI. Cosy cottage feel.

Couldn't turn off the old AGA cooker/oven which made the house to hot. Had to sleep with the windows open to go to sleep. Shower takes some getting used to. Not sure the traditional tiled floor is best for drainage in a wet room. Floor will stay wet for a long time after using the shower. Had to put my shoes on to use the toilet or its wet socks.
