Nice enough but do not expect a luxurious stay

The building itself is lovely and the decor is quirky. Friendly and helpful staff. "Self serve bar" is funny (i.e. a fridge with drinks, don't expect anything on tap). Breakfast was nice but nothing special. We are grateful that it is dog friendly. Location is nice if you're looking for a quiet stay with nothing much around other than the beach and one pub that may or may not be serving food.

Questionable 5* rating considering that there is paint peeling off the walls, room/bathroom was basic, no extra towels or robes are provided for the hot tub, and there is no guarantee of an evening meal. If you are lucky enough that food is being served that evening, don't expect a choice (for us it was oven cooked pizza or go hungry!) Some background music would have been nice in the restaurant/bar area.

The staff were the best thing about our stay at The Globe, so friendly and helpful!

A stylish and interesting building. The rooms are big with high ceilings, so plenty of room to unpack and relax in. The breakfast room is light and airy, with heavy, substantial furniture. We had an evening pizza on the rooftop terrace, which was magical!

The old single glazed sash windows rattle a bit, and the unshaded light bulbs are rather stark.
