The Golden Lion had a really good atmosphere in all of it's public spaces. Room was very comfortable and clean and Housekeeping excellent. Excellent choice of restaurant and bar food. Idyllic, situated centrally in the small coastal town of Newport, Pembs with coastal walks, art and craft galleries dotted around the town and a good choice of independent coffee shops. Perfect for a long weekend getaway. Ideal for walkers, couples and solos.
Whilst the breakfast menu was varied and catered for most dietary requirements, I would like to have seen a vegetarian alternative to the "full Welsh breakfast"...maybe offering a Glamorganshire (or Pembrokeshire vegetarian sausage) as an alternative.

The breakfast..the bar..the menu as a whole. The friendly and efficient staff and the bedroom comfort..great bed.
Rooms not serviced unless requested..that's ok but when you pay a hefty price for the room for 3 nights it would be appreciated
