Disappointing-see above.
Good location for visiting Cambridge.
Bar closed at 10.30 even to residents so couldnt have a night cap with our friends after we came back from dinner. Room was ok but a little tired-stained carpets, etc. As was the hotel itself- round seat in foyer very stained-didnt want to sit on it! Security an issue-someone tried to access our room at 6.20 in the morning! Luckily, we had put the chain on but very concerning. Breakfast was poor-stale pastries, bacon so hard you couldnt eat it, scrambled eggs obviously cooked ages before. Altogether a very disappointing stay-we regularly visit Cambridge but wont be staying at The Gonville again.
