    Precioso alojamiento rural

El entorno rural, la decoración del alojamiento y el trato con el host.

No había champú, ni secador, los colchones nos resultaron un poco incómodos pero eso es nuestro gusto personal.

Charming cottage, wonderful stay, great hosts!

The Granary is a gorgeous old building, full of charm and character and the owners: Jo and family, have done a lovely tasteful conversion and have pretty much thought of everything we might need. We loved the communal lounge-kitchen-diner, making it a great space to wind down at the end of the day and there were books and games available as well. Jo was super helpful, friendly and very kind. The location is in beautiful countryside, walks on the doorstep, yet not too far from town for restocking provisions. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend to others.

There are two bedrooms but only one has a walk in shower, the other is a handheld over-bath shower. It didn't matter too much to us as we shared the walk-in and having two bathrooms is a bonus anyway. Overall, we have no complaints.

    Geweldig plek.

Heerlijke plek, van alle gemakken voorzien.

Wat minder was de douche in het vrijstaande bad, zonder douchegordijn, alles nat

Being a renovated barn, of course this house comes with some flaws, but on the other hand it has all these lovely features that made our stay wonderful. We loved staying here. The location is beautiful as well, and places like Sherborne and, a bit further to the coast, Lyme Regis and Kimmeridge Bay are well worth the drive. Also there's a Tesco superstore at a 10 mins drive.

I'm a very sensitive sleeper, and the boxspring beds were too lumpy for me. A good frying pan would come in handy. But that's it. And here's an idea: like all places this house couldn't be kept really cool during the heatwave, so we brought our own fans. That really helped, because at night the rooms cool off nicely. There weren't many bugs but we kept the lights out with the windows open, because these (lovely) windows can't have bug nets.
