Staff was very friendly and helpful and assisted us with our luggage and any needs we had.
Able to select breakfast items (up to 5) f Or $15.00. Nice selection, only heated item was bagels.
My traveling companion had a disability that made climbing any stairs difficult. They were able to accommodate us with a room on the main floor. Still needed to climb 4 stairs to enter or exit the hotel.

Quirky hotel and room, quiet location, expect the old-fashioned.
Quirky, converted old property, close to the waterfront and good food spots, very quiet area. Excellent bed. 'Petite' room, but plenty of space and storage. Fridge available for food and drink storage. Hot drinks available in the lounge. Good for those who like walking.
Bed was great, but the chair in the room was old and creaky. Shower only had an overhead spray, and took a little while to heat up. Older building, and my room was in the attic, so small window, and up two flights of stairs. Old fashioned metal keys, but the lock needed a bit of a knack to get it to lock the room from the outside. Underfloor heating quite noisy (I disconnected it). Not a problem for me, but light breakfast only provided on request.

This was quite an expensive hotel for what it turned out to be.
The hotel is just slightly out of the main downtown core, but completely walkable to that area and the waterfront. We were very warmly greeted upon our arrival. The staff were helpful. Breakfast arrangements are ... different. You can select a few items from a list and get them in your room or on the main floor. Most items are not cooked, but are fresh. It wasn't expensive, but it was something to get used to. There are several restaurants quite nearby and many more within a fifteen minute walk.
I didn't quite realize that the room would be on floor 3 of a building without lifts. We did get excellent help from the staff carrying our bags up to our room, but we still had to walk up and down each time we went out. The room was small and had a double bed. If that is what you are used to, I'm sure it is fine. Storage was at a premium. The bathroom is tired looking and again, storage is limited.
