Charming hisrotic property with wonderfull staff, but the room amenities could use an upgrade.
The historic house had so much charm and character. The back rooms where we stayed were adequate and the staff was very friendly and accomidating.
There was no fridge or microwave in the room, and the hair dryer was seriously outdated and took forever to dry my hair. For the price we paid, I expected a few more basic amenities.

Beautiful and historic location
Breakfast was the major downfall. No staff was on site in the morning to prepare the coffee machine. My husband had to fill it and plug it in himself. Not enough paper plates, napkins or utensils available. We had to share one plastic knife among the four of us. Fortunately this is an easy remedy, and then we would be able to upgrade our review

I would NOT recommend
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
There are no slip pads or bars in the bathroom. I slipped and fell in the tub and bruised my ribs. There's no staff around after 4pm, had to wait until the next morning to let someone know. The maintenance guy was really nice. The lady that came from the kitchen was rude and seemed more annoyed that I got hurt than anything.
