Was visiting family and just needed somewhere to stay over night for a couple of days
Room was basic but as described, clean tidy and comfy. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and hot. breakfast choices were given at start of the stay. The pub food was also fresh hot and big portions
Nothing it was what I was expecting and more than adequate for our stay

Great cabin in the pub garden.
Felt that it was private, clean and warm. With a table and chairs for sitting outside.
No bottle opener which is a small thing but felt that the components were a bit sparse.

Weekend break away
Checking in was easy. Communication was good and staff were friendly. The room was well equipped and had a lovely comfortable bed. Little extras like bottled water and biscuits were very welcome. Lovely area outside the room to take the dogs. Excellent cooked breakfast. Nothing too much trouble.
Overall our experience was very good. Unfortunately, when we arrived there was no hot water and we had no way of notifying anyone of this. The pub had closed before we noticed. Therefore my husband had a cold shower! When we mentioned this the next day it was quickly resolved and we didn't have an issue for the rest of the time. Perhaps an out of hours contact number would be useful? We also had 2 small dogs ( which were made to feel welcome) but we were charged the same price whether they were big or small! We didn't allow them on the furniture but there was nothing to say they shouldn't be allowed. Perhaps, as there is a charge (albeit a small one) then maybe some dog treats, bowls and dog blanket would be a good idea. We have had this in other establishments that we have stayed at.

Ideale combinatie, pub en overnachten
Het uitgebreide ontbijt, vriendelijk ontvangst, ideale combinatie van pub en overnachten. Hond welkom, ook in de pub
De kamer was wat gedateerd, de heet waterkraan werkte tegenovergesteld en hier en daar spinrag. Daarentegen was het beddengoed en de handdoeken brandschoon en dat is voor ons belangrijker dan wat spinrag. Ideaal gelegen voor de Eurotunnel.
