Heather was very welcoming and keen to help us settle in.
It was conveniently situated for a number of local attractions. The room was spacious and it had a luxurious en-suite.

A nice property, shame about the owner !
The breakfast was very good. We had a cooked breakfast every day, and the portions were always generous. The building was quite nice, and the bed was very comfortable.
The attitude of the owner was not good at all. It started very soon after we had booked, when she telephoned us to ask if we would cancel our booking with Booking.com and rebook it directly with herself, and she offered us a small financial incentive to do so. We naturally refused. When we arrived in the late afternoon, very tired from our 5 hour drive, I went to lie down on the bed to have a rest , as I am 81, and was very surprised when she came up and opened the door to ask me what we wanted for breakfast. Fortunately I was fully dressed, but she could not have known that. When I started to respond, she motioned for me to get up, in order to speak to her, although I had already made it clear that I was exhausted . Later that day she complained that the TV was too loud, and she could hear it downstairs, which is hardly surprising, as it is fixed on the wall right next to the door, but it was only around 5pm. Throughout our three-day stay she behaved highly inappropriately, complaining about how much Booking.com charged her, talking critically about some other guests with young children who were arriving that day and saying she was going to charge them more, standing next to me at breakfast one day and putting, and leaving, her hand on my shoulder for several minutes, complaining about her workload, etc etc. She asked me to pay part of the bill in cash, but when I did so, she complained that it was not enough in cash ! So unprofessional. Reading her comments to the, (admittedly relatively few) previous unfavourable reviews, shows her true attitude, and I expect a similar response to this one ! I think she may once have been a very good hostess, but perhaps it may be time to get someone in to assist her.

A little gem!
The host provides a warm welcome and a superb breakfast. Busy road but a good location and lovely clean property. Excellent main bedroom with en-suite shower room. Open plan ground floor with pleasant lounge and dining area.
The parking is limited in the front, and the adjacent side road appears to be full most of the time.
