    Our last minute autumn break in Dumfries could not have been better.

    Lynne was warm, calm & welcoming. Everything about the hotel is clean, well maintained & comfortable. I can thoroughly recommend Lynne’s porridge. We found her local knowledge helpful. Free WiFi & area guides made it easy to plan our days out. Both she & her assistant Tracey responded quickly & willingly to our requests. Staying at The Hill Hotel was an absolute pleasure.

    People with mobility issues might find the spiral staircase a challenge but we had no problems.

    One of the best small hotels.

    Overall very high quality. Excellent, friendly helpful staff Good location with easy walk to town centre.

    On busy road. Although set back from road, difficult exit due to traffic volume. Minor problems with bathroom.

    Welcoming hotel in Dumfries town centre, witha great breakfast and lovely staff

    Friendly staff, comfortable room. I just stayed one night, was perfectly happy with my stay. Breakfast was good too

    Fab time in Dumfries

    Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hosts were lovely, breakfast was great and had a fantastic sleep! Great location. Would definitely stay again
