Perfect stay for motorcycle trip or floating the Frio
Location is perfect for motorcycle trips to the 3 sisters. These are roads in the area that are some of the best riding in the US. The owners were there working it, so if there are any issues they are very helpful. I was very happy with how you could tell they were so service oriented. You can park your motorcycle directly in front of the room, and it seems very safe in the small town. There is a restaurant and bar (sometimes with live music), so you can eat and have a drink without having to get back on the bike in the evening. I had a trailer and was concerned about parking, but the owner was extremely accommodating, showing me an out of the way spot to park it. The rooms are older, but very clean and comfortable. They had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. I will stay here again and would highly recommend. Nothing fancy, just a comfortable setting with live oaks, a pavilion to sit out, and a nice clean swimming pool.
Not really anything. Motel is older, but that is some of the charm.

Overall a great stay in an historic hotel.
The location and property was outstanding.
The hotel is historic as advertised, it would be a bit more comfortable if there was an upgrade to the pillows and mattresses.

Location was good and staff member was polite and accommodating
No weather stripping under door. Bugs were crawling right into the room through the half inch gap. I got 4.5 hours of sleep due to being woken up by bugs multiple times throughout the night.
