Could not have been better - location, friendliness, comfort, coziness.
This home was perfectly placed to get to all shops and pubs in town, and still it was a very quiet place to go back to and relax. The moment we met Rachael, we felt like we had a new lifelong friend. She provided a wonderful itinerary of places to eat and shops to visit as well as sites to see. The room was very large and had a large bathroom attached. It was extremely clean and welcoming. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud! It is a very old building (Rachael said that the main bedroom beam had been there for 500 years!), which made it all the more quaint. My husband and I love to see the very old parts of the UK that contain its history. There were two additional sitting rooms made available to us on the first floor, but we were either wandering the town or relaxing in the cozy bed, so we never made use of them. Breakfast was amazing! Rachael cooked it herself, and she clearly went out that morning and bought fresh bread to serve. We stayed for only two nights at the end of our trip, and what a lovely way to finish! If you head to Rye, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at The House with Two Front Doors.

We had a wonderful stay in a great location exploring a beautiful town.
Beautiful and historic home with a wonderful host Rachel. Breakfast ingredients were bought fresh each day for a fabulous meal. Great location.

Special stay away with our newborn
We decided to go to Rye on a whim, for our first getaway with our 11 week old son. The Hotel with Two Front Doors was perfect. Brimming with character; exceptional location; delicious breakfast and lots of home comforts. Rachael was such a thoughtful host and lovely human. She even gave baby a cuddle to allow us to eat the super yummy breakfast. Not easy going away with a newborn for the first time but Rachael and the Hotel were perfect and gave us a real sense of holiday.
