Wont be staying here again. Dirty. Poor management. Room dirty. Food bad.
Location. Nothing else. Few years ago we liked absolutely everything. This year it was the opposite.
This was our second stay here. Very disappointing compared to last time we were there. We arrived after 9pm. Could not get a bite or a drink at the bar because it was sooo busy with some event guests. Unsure that they were staying at the hotel. Asked several times for housekeeping to clean our room. Nobody cleaned it. We would get back to the room around 5-6pm after hike, the room was always untouched and not cleaned. Every single day! Management was really clueless and untrained. Breakfast was really bad. Few years ago it was amazing. Breakfast buffet. This year - total disappointment. We tried buffet and ale carte. Huge disappointment. Spoke with management on daily basis several times. Also got overcharged by $almost 3k, had to call after we left to argue again. They covered one night. But this whole trip was ruined by lack of experience from management. I had to repeat myself every single day! Ask for room to be cleaned - every single day! Our trip was ruined because we stayed here. Dont recommend at all. This hotel went down really badly. Definately needs new management. And also DIRTY ! our hallway smelled like vomit once we arrived. Dishes by the room doors, garbage bin overfloating.

The rooms are small but the views are bad
We are loyal Bonvoy members and booked The Hythe as it was part of the Luxury Collection. From the minute you walk in the door of this resort in the quiet, peaceful Vail Valley, you are blasted with loud, dance club-style music. The music is on from morning to midnight. You almost can’t have a conversation in the lobby it’s so loud. We are platinum elite level (which really doesn’t mean much) and were told our room had been upgraded. The room (536) had one narrow window with a view of the highway and a very large rock covered roof. We asked to be moved. The kind woman who checked us in met us in the next room (236) which was the same only three floors lower. She commented,”This one is even worse.” She then moved us to the first floor. By then, we had to rush to make a wedding weekend-related dinner. The first floor room (136) was just off the loud lobby and right next to the fire pit. You could hear the music through the walls as well as people’s conversations outside. We had to keep the drapes shut and door closed so that people could not see in. By contrast, the valet staff were superb - the best feature of the hotel, by far. Extremely friendly and helpful. The bartender was also great. Bottom line: if you’re looking for luxury, this is not the hotel for you. It was jammed with families (understandable given the time of year) and the music in the lobby is a non-starter. The rooms are also very small and dark. We experienced three of them and none had views despite the prime location in Lionshead. We will not be back.

Revel Lounge-Excellant Food & Service
Our party dined at the Revel Lounge inside The Hythe Resort on Saturday 8/15/2026. Our Server was Payton and her service and the food were awesome! We ordered the Grilled Chili-Lime Shrimp, Peach & Burrata salad, Hythe Smash Burger, Alpine French Dip, and Fries. The food was hot and delicious for sure! The restaurant was clean and attention to detail showed. Payton stopped by our table frequently to ensure we were satisfied and offered great suggestions on menu items too. The Manager on duty even stopped by our table to see if we were satisfied and if we needed anything further. All said - this was a very positive experience for us and we look forward to a return visit to Vail, CO soon. Well done Revel Lounge team!

What a frustrating billing experience
Anyone who has followed my reviews knows that overwhelmingly I like staying at Marriott properties. This experience has been frustratingly different. For years, I've come to the Vail Marriott (now is known as The Hythe by Marriott). Usually twice a year for conferences without issue. We enjoy Vail and enjoy the consistency of Marriott. Upon getting our bill by email, we noted that our credit card had been over-charged for an extra night of parking. Called the phone number on the emailed invoice, and was greeted by an "answering machine" menu; pressed the number for billing issues; and received another recording asking for the information and promising to get back "within two days." Four days later, heard nothing, so sent an email to what appeared to be Marriott's corporate customer service email. I explained the problem and that there was no response to the billing overcharge. In response to that email, I received a form email directing me to call the phone number ON THE INVOICE. Obviously, no one even read my email. SEPARATE ISSUE: The lights in Room 517 between the beds did not work, nor did the electrical outlets. Those things happen and I told the front desk. That didn't upset me. Between college and the U.S. Army, I was a front desk clerk at the Los Angeles Airport Hyatt. Those things happen and except for the cold shoulder on this billing error, I wouldn't have mentioned it. But this billing issue obviously frustrates me. If you are attending a conference and need an accurate receipt for your company's expense reimbursement, better stand in that long, long, line at checkout to review your bill before leaving the property. Or, you could uselessly call the number on the invoice.
