POOL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Look if your were a hen or buck or had a function sure convince would be a plus however everything else was poor to average
Immediate upon entry I was met with a huge construction site of a pool area which was really the only draw card for us as the kids wanted to use the pool while we had cocktails and relaxed so before I even checked it was a disappointment from there and never really improved, there was no indication of no pool facilities by booking.com or in the hotel’s correspondence with us. 0/10 Was then comped a couple cocktails and a room upgrade and late check out 5/10 honestly I just wanted a refund and go somewhere else because with 3 kids sitting poolside was my only vision of this weekend. ** note the remainder of the review would be tarnished from the above disappointment. Room upgrade appreciated but holy shit it’s loud, no sound proofing at all from the outside world, I expect to hear noise but this was next level, I was woken up by someone shouting from the street below (I was level 7) at 3am to what I can only describe as feeling like they were inside the room with me. It is an older renovated building I don’t know if there would have been anything they could have done but … ensure you take noise cancelling earphones. Bathroom was fine, would have been great if they had given the grey grout a scrub at least once since they opened, I could see 3 different colours of mould. The rooftop bar is more of a terrace of the pub below it’s also on the 2nd level so not exactly “rooftop” if you’d think the building is 10 stories. Looks great visually however the bar staff were less than enthusiastic with service when making our cocktails despite being there early as we had the kids with us, ordered the pizzas however after 50min had to ask where they went.. we ordered a pizza “they don’t make” despite it being on the menu displayed at the bar and seemingly the pizza just never made it to the kitchen.., bar manager seemed nice in apologising also I did manage to tell him we were less then impressed as we had just checked in with instant disappointment already..
