Views from upper rooms are amazing, nothing at all around this hotel, be prepared.
The views from the higher rooms is brilliant, the balcony’s are big and the infinity pool was good for chilling and relaxing. Wayan and the staff tried hard to make sure your stay was as comfortable as possible. Ideal for a couple who are just happy to stay in the hotel.
The road up to the property is very very steep with loose shingle, so even as walkers we found it a challenge. The electricity went off while we were there for 4 or 5 hours, and the hotel has no generator, so a torch and power bank are a good choice. The main issue was when you got down to the main road, it was filthy, dusty, dirty and literally nothing around you. There is no choice of anywhere else to eat except the hotel unless you get a 15 min taxi ride or use a scooter. Penida itself was very disappointing, it looks like they are trying to upgrade the drains and roads which means there is constant dust and no pavements so you can’t walk anywhere. The roads everywhere on the island were atrocious, every bone aches after a day trip.

Das Personal ist super lieb und zuvorkommend und kümmert sich wirklich hervorragend um seine Gäste. Es wurde uns sogar ein kostenloser Abholservice organisiert. Auch darüber hinaus wird vieles angeboten, wie etwa Touren zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, ein Rollerverleih sowie Schnorchelausflüge inklusive Transfer. Die Aussicht und der Pool sind ein absoluter Traum! Da es insgesamt nur 8 Zimmer gibt, ist die Anlage zudem wunderbar ruhig und nie überlaufen.
Leider gab es auch ein paar Dinge, die nicht perfekt waren. Der größte Minuspunkt war der Abflussgeruch in unserem Badezimmer, was den ansonsten sehr schönen Aufenthalt leider etwas getrübt hat. Das Bad ist generell etwas in die Jahre gekommen: Der Toilettensitz ist leicht verfärbt, an den Wasserhähnen blättert das Material ab und die Dusche hat Flecken. Das restliche Zimmer war davon abgesehen aber in einem guten Zustand.
