Countryside Summer
A great place to scape away from the busy life. We enjoyed it a lot and the food is excellent. Children will enjoy it a lot. Pools were lovely and the animals area is super.

Disappointing food and attention to detail. Lovely property
Our third stay - and whilst the hotel is undeniably one of our favourite breaks outside the city - the food remains disappointing and really just doesn't meet minimum expectations for anywhere of this calibre, and is particularly surprising given its association with the Wellesley where we have stayed a handful of times. I think given the cost of a stay here, the wine list could do with some serious refinement with far better by the glass options, alongside a far more interesting list of champagnes. Very run of the mill and disappointing from that respect although we were delighted to see upgraded facilities for children and look forward to bringing our daughter when she's old enough. Little touches really matter in an establishment like this - the quality of bread, home made ice creams, freshly squeezed orange juice - it all goes a long way and frankly is what one comes to expect when paying £1,000+ for a night's stay. All of the food we had was cooked sous-vide and not finished - which resulted in slimey fish, badly cooked vegetables, and rubberized chicken - all easily rectified. Tripple cooked chips were oven cooked and from a bag, as were the roast potatoes - I've had better at Toby's Carvery! Spa facilities terrific - and recommended.
