The Mallard Lodge was beyond expectations. Located in a quiet & peaceful setting. The lodge was very well equipped. The welcome pack of of a food hamper along with a most delicious cake were appreciated by us all.
Nothing to dislike

When we booked it said on booking.com that there would be a log burner There was not! This is booking.com's fault according to the lodge owners. I don't think I'm going to use booking.com again , I've had problems before. The mattressess were very hard and the hot tub was not hot enough, more of a " warm tub". It was not worth £900 at all. I feel cheated.

Wonderful relaxing perfect for the whole family.
Property was perfect. Very well equipped. Everything you could possibly want or need. The owners thought of everything. Lots to do and see in the local area. Peaceful and calm. Private. It was a perfect stay. We will definitely be returning.
Tiny little issue with the shower. There were 5 of us and even when we timed ourselves to 5 min showers we couldn’t all shower after the hot tub for example as the hot water would run out. Or sometimes it would vary wildly from scalding to freezing. And I think it had a little leak on the wall unit which may have caused the problem maybe? But that may be to be expected in such a remote location. But that was a very minor concern that we could easily deal with by showering at different times.
