A gorgeous and elegant oasis
From the time we arrived Carl made us feel very much at home, explaining everything about the hotel and the area. We immediately felt very welcome and extremely comfortable. The room was a perfect size with fridge and a clean and well equipped shower room. The room was warm and beautifully decorated and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful experience and the food excellent, delicious and plentiful. The whole place had a luxuriously Edwardian feel about it without being overly ostentatious or needlessly aggrandised. We stayed for three nights and could happily have stayed on and we are planning to return next summer. The location of the hotel was perfect for a short walk to the seafront and the piers and all the main places to go and very convenient for the Blackpool North station.

The lonsdale in blackpool ....behind this unassuming front door was a hidden gem absolutely fabulous immaculately presented beautiful decor the property belongs to Carl and Stephen.....Stephen recently had a whole knew knee and was recuperating so Carl was minus his wingman we arrived early but despite this Carl greeted us at the door such a great bloke Stephen came on his crutches to say hello too which we both thourght was lovely. The room..our room for 2 whole nights massive bed beautiful bedding television our own bathroom classy quality furniture oh did I mention the balcony with a sea view. Breakfast i will try and explain how wonderful this experience was it wasn't just the food which was perfect i had a full English sausage bacon eggs fresh tomatoes black pudding optional obviously beans ash brown mushrooms and toast with proper butter there was fresh fruit yoghurt fresh fruit juice although my breakfast was perfect 1st class it was the attention to detail antique little salt and pepper pots soft music my coffee came in a coffee pot and tea pot for my hubby it was the ambience of the whole place....Thankyou Carl and Stephen for a wonderful 2 day break. See you next year x

Great little hotel in good location.
We were both made to feel very welcome when we arrived and that continued throughout our stay. The Lonsdale was incredibly clean and the room was lovely with a little balcony with chairs and table. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. The breakfasts were first class and more than substantial. There was everything you could want including gluten free bread for me and fresh fruit. The location was great, within easy reach of the tower and with north shore railway station 5 mins walk away. We loved every bit of our stay and look forward to visiting again.
There was nothing we didn't like.

The Lonsdale Hotel is a fabulous Gem, Blackpool is 40 years past its sell by date and needs help.
Carl and Steven were fantastic hosts, they were so friendly but professional, they were an absolute eleven out of ten for hospitality, compassion and friendliness, nothing was too much for them, Steven was going into hospital on the day of our leaving so they were in a rush to get sorted but it did not impact on us at all, a fantastic couple. And the property, I could only wish to live in the opulence we experienced it was fantastic, I am a surveyor by trade and the place was unbelievable, my wife is a crazy cleaner who is very particular about cleanliness and she could find no fault with the place, it was a terrific experience the only negative is they are a 5 hour drive for us but we are already trying to think of a reason to return to Blackpool in spite of Blackpool. Thank you Carl and Steven I honestly cannot recommend a stay with you guys any more than I can because I do not have the words, if you have been you know, if you have not been, give the guys a try.
Blackpool, was a dive, it is run down and most things were closed by 17:30 on a 16th 17th & 18th September ?? We had never been and decided to tick the box, the box is now ticked but never to be revisited, sorry, it needs a massive injection of money, hard work and a culture change a UK gem, rotting in a mire of poverty and uncaring people, a very sad story, sorry.
