Comfortable, pleasant, isolated, romantic place to stay.

I loved the seclusion and the views in the neighbourhood (not from the property where it was within woodland). Lanark, Lanark Loch, New Lanark, Biggar, Glasgow, and South Queensferry were all places we visited and enjoyed.

While the wi-fi in the sitting room was fine, the thickness of the walls meant that the signal in the bedroom was very weak.

We found the property clean, warm, and comfortable.

The property was clean, comfortable, and well prepared for our arrival. It was lovely and warm inside, with the heating already on, which was especially welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, including a dishwasher, toaster, oven, microwave, and kettle. Check-in and check-out were both straightforward and hassle-free. The location is peaceful and isolated, situated on an estate and providing a good base for visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh. However, the access road was extremely poor essentially an unpaved track. It took around 3-5 minutes to drive along it, careful driving are recommended. The internet connection was very good in the living room, but unfortunately the signal disappeared completely as soon as we moved into other areas of the property. Apart from the poor road access and limited Wi-Fi coverage, we enjoyed our stay and found the property clean, warm, and comfortable.

Excellent, scenic and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Well maintained, clean and had everything you need for a perfect break. Any problems we had was solved immediately. The owners left us a congratulations card and a bottle of wine for our honeymoon. The estate was maintained well with lots of places to explore. The walks around the estate was breath taking with all the wild life and old buildings. The history of the Carmichael clan was fascinating, visitors centre has lots of information about the estate. The family was very helpful Recommending places to visit and eat with out puppy. Excellent place to stay when visiting scotland.

Would have been nice to have an area to sit outside the house to enjoy the wild life. However, we used a blanket on the grass area at the front of the property which was fine.
