Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement and at an additional cost, on the condition that owners accept full responsibility for the cost of any damage or extra cleaning needed. Dogs are not allowed to be left in the room unattended. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per room. All dogs must be well behaved. No other pets are accepted. Christmas day rates include an evening buffet and quiz. Please note that the buffet will only be available in the evening. On 31st December, food is served from 12:00 (midday) until 15:00 with a normal menu. From 18:00 until 21:30 a special fixed price menu is GBP 49 per person. Please call the hotel for details prior to arrival. A deposit may be required at the property.

    Lovely hotel, great facilities, welcoming staff

    Really lovely hotel, loved the way that it looked in every area, really nice staff and great to be able to have our dog with us, thank you for a comfortable stay and welcoming approach from all the staff.

    As I needed to walk my dog early in the morning, it was quite dark in the car park, one or two low level lights by the hedge at the edge of the car park would be appreciated. Not in any way a criticism, just a suggestion 😊

    All very enjoyable and as good as the last stay two years back. Lovely clean friendly place to stay.

    Everything liked, there is nothing to dislike, Excellent and most polite, helpful staff on hand. Food choice is of the best quality and service is great and fast. Bar well stocked with good selection of local draught beers, All very enjoyable and as good as the last stay some two years ago. Lovely place to stay, clean and welcoming. Look forward to returning. Good number of spaces to securely park in off the road. Tasteful modern accommodation in a characterful historic quiet setting, very well done and appreciated.

    Just watch for the low lights over the upper dining room tables though, stand up slowly is best and mind your head! Well worth the detour and diversion due to the essential roadworks at present.
