    5 star property

    The property is beautiful, very spacious and finished to a very high standard. Plenty of kitchen equipment for the number of people who could stay. Communication with the property owner was first class.

    Dangerous

    Lovely house, in desperate need of maintenance.

    During our stay, we encountered the following specific health and safety hazards: Active Electric Shock - water leaking from the 3rd floor family bathroom, into the bedroom below, resulting in a guest receiving an electric shock from the light switch, feeling sore and unwell. Pest Infestation - fly infestation in the dining room skylight, spreading around the house. We had to kill hundreds over the weekend we stayed. We discovered hidden pest control powder in the cupboard, proving this is a known, unresolved issue, despite the landlord claiming otherwise. Dangerous Grounds - broken steps and missing paving stones in the garden, causing a falling hazard. Fire hazard - the patio doors on the 3rd floor have no key available, meaning there is no means of escape to any external balcony or route in the case of a fire. In general the property is poorly maintained, in our opinion it is unsafe for habitation. Poor Hygiene conditions, damp and mould in the bedrooms, windows which do not close, broken amenities, plumbing and heating failures resulting in no hot water.
